Who is able to join the club?Any UW - Madison student can become a member of the Finance and Investment Society

When does the club meet?FIS meets on Thursdays from 6:00-7:00 PM in Grainger Hall. The meetings on Thursdays will be speaker events with our corporate partners. Throughout the semester we will have professional development and community service events on a discretionary basis.

How much does membership cost?Membership costs $20 per semester, payable to the FIS venmo account. If you are unable to pay through venmo, bring cash dues to the weekly meeting.

How do I become an active member?Attend 6 events total to be considered “Active”, including •4 Speaker Events •1 Professional Development Events •1 Community Service Event Active membership allows you to run for a board position and attend our end of semester banquet

How do I join FIS?Fill out the "Join US" form to be added to our mailing list Become a site member by clicking the icon in the top right corner of the website and creating an account Pay dues via venmo to @fiswisconsin

What is the best way to stay updated?Fill out the "Join Us" form to be added to our mailing list. We will send out weekly emails stating our upcoming events. Also, follow us on linkedin and Instagram @fiswisconsin

How do I run for an executive board position?To run for a position on the executive board you must be an active member. At the end of each semester we will send the application to all active members with descriptions of the board positions, their responsibilities, and the deadline to submit an application.

How do I access the club resources?To access the club resources you must have paid dues and created an account on the website. Once you have completed these steps, you will have access to the member resources tab.
